“When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?” [John 6:53-61]

“And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” [Matthew 11:6]

“That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;” [Philippians 1:10]

“Oh, my. And "Blessed is he who is not offended in Me." Now, don't be offended. I believe there's more people offended in Jesus than any other person that ever lived on earth. They get offended too quick. Jesus now in this misplaced beatitude, slipped over there so we could get it tonight. Why, He said, "Blessed is he who's not offended in Me. Don't be offended in Me. No matter what takes place, Everything's working right on schedule. So you just--just go ahead and believe it; that's all. Everything's all right. Just go ahead and believe it." You know, there Jesus didn't rebuke John for that. He didn't say, "Well, I'm ashamed of My apostle. I'm ashamed of My prophet." No, He never said that. He didn't say, "What's the world going to say about this when you've come preaching, oh, such a great Messiah, and such a great Messiah, and then you send out to ask if I'm the Messiah." “He's done come through justification, Luther Age, Sanctification, Wesley Age, Pentecostal Age, done placed His gifts into the church, and now, appeared to us in our flesh as Jesus said He would. Don't be offended at Him. He's right on time. "John get out of that jail." Get out of that organization that don't believe in it. Pull the fetters back off your eyes. You're a free man if you believe it. He's right on time. "It shall be light in the evening time." Amen. The evening lights are shining. What is He? The same Jesus. The same sun that rises in the east is the same sun that sets in the west. The Son of God rose on the eastern people. What did He do to prove to the Samaritans and the Jews that He was Messiah? “But when John said the worst thing that he could say to Jesus, Jesus said the best thing that John ever had said about him. Yes. John said, "Go, see if He is that One." He said after the disciples of John left, said, "What did you go out in the wilderness to see? Did you go out to see a man dressed up in fine..." No. He was too far from Hollywood for that. So he said, "Did you go to see a man in fine raiment?" Said, "They're of king's palaces." He said, "What did you go to see, a reed that just any denomination could blow any way it wanted to?" Oh, no. Certainly didn't. "So what did you go to see? A prophet?" Said, "Yes. You went to see a prophet. He's more than a prophet." Said, "This is that Elias. This is that One that is said by the prophet, 'I send My messenger before My face.'" Said, "Verily, I say unto you there's never been a man borned of a woman as great as John the Baptist." He never condemned him. He knowed that he was anointed with the spirit of Elijah. And that spirit was on him. That's what did it. He knowed everything was running all right, everything was running according to schedule. Why, was he a greater than--than all the prophets? Now, if you're spiritual, you'll catch something. Why was he the greatest? All the other prophets had spoke of the Messiah. But John introduced Him. He was the one that presented Him. So will it be in the end time. Everything's running according to schedule. Don't be offended. Just believe. Today the churches are offended in Him. The churches are offended. The people are offended. They're all flusterated. “Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour”. [Matthew 15:25-28]
“But I'm not sent to your race. Go on, beat it, on down the street. I'm not sent to you people. And you're nothing but a bunch of dogs, anyhow. It's not really right for Me to take the children's bread and give it to you bunch of dogs, alley dogs, street rats, and so forth. It's not--not meet for Me to do that." What? She admitted He was right. Amen. Oh, my! Faith will always admit the Word right. Whether your pastor says so or not, whether anybody else says so or not, your faith says It's right. Glory! Your faith says It's right. So what she was called, even by Jesus Christ, the One she come to, and He rebuked her. And look at His disciples, the men was with Him in His campaigns, said, "Oh, beat it! Get out of here. You're annoying us. Don't bother our Master." That didn't stop her. No, sir. Nothing is going to stop her, 'cause she has got faith. Its going to happen, anyhow. She admitted He was right. "I'm nothing but a dog. I--I don't deserve anything. But, Lord, let me bring something to Your memory. I'm not after the bread; I just want a few crumbs." [Perseverant,   Chicago IL, 63-0802]

“The trouble of it now, we don't have people humble themselves to get some crumbs. "I didn't get in the line." That don't make any difference. I just come to see if He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I'm after some crumbs. Oh, how different she was from now. Remember, she had never seen a miracle. She was a Greek. She had never seen a miracle, yet she was persistent because something inside of her told her she was going to see one. She was like Rahab, the harlot. Rahab, the harlot, she didn't say, "Now bring Joshua up, you spies, and let me see how he wears his clothes, and what kind of a manners he's got. And let me see whether he's handsome or not, or how he combs his hair, if he's a well-groomed man and everything." Remember, that was kind of her line of work, you know, she was hunting handsome man, she was a street harlot. And so she said, "I have heard that the Lord God is with you, and I'm asking for mercy." Oh, my! There you are, faith cometh by hearing. "I heard that you took Agag, and what you did down there. And I heard what God did for you at the Red Sea, and I believe it. And I know that you're His servant. I just ask mercy." Amen. She was granted mercy.” [Perseverant,   Chicago IL, 63-0802]

This woman, she was granted mercy. She said, "True, Lord, but the dogs eat the crumbs that's under the master's table." "For this saying..." That did it. Finally, being persistent, perseverant, letting nothing stand in her way, even in the face of Jesus trying to rebuke her, she said... But she stood and admitted that He was right, the Word was right, and everything. "But yet, Lord, the dogs eat the crumbs, and it's just a crumb from You is all I ask. Just one little one little, one little speck is all I want, Lord. Just Your touch, that's all I want. Just Your touch, that's all." Oh, if we just had that tonight "Lord, I'm setting here, I'm sick. But if--if--if something will just tell me that I can get well, that's all I want to know. Then that--that settles it, I'm going home and believe it, see. Nothing is going to stand in my way any longer. Just Your crumbs, Lord, is all I want."
Jesus said, "O woman," or, "O woman, great is your faith. Go your way, for what you've been persistent about, what you have believed, you're going to find it that way." Amen. She had finally overcome. She had the right approach to God's gift. She was a Gentile. Faith always admits the Word is right. Humbly and reverently, not get out and blow up about something.”[Perseverant,   Chicago IL, 63-0802]   

“Moses, what if he would've presumed? Don't presume; stay with the Word. Don't accept nothing different. Stay exactly what God said stay with. Stay with the Word. Amen. God is obligated. God's obligated to His Word. And if the Word's in you, He's obligated to you with His Word. But when you do like Eve, doubt one little speck of it and move something in to substitute, you're out, right there. Stay with the Word. Let's not presume anything. “Give us evangelists in the world today, not those who persuade, and pull, and make denominational children. God, raise Yourself up some children. Have the people, Lord, to pray. I'm thinking of Cornelius' house. It never happened to a Gentile before, but they were fasting and praying. And when that man of God, that prophet, stood there, and while he spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on them that heard the Word. God, grant that kind of a meeting. While Peter spake these words... O God, they were ready. They were fasting; they were waiting; they were sincere. They wasn't just wait... They was waiting until. Those apostles waited until God come down among them, and they could see Him and talk to Him. They went out with hearts that burnt the world to a crisp. They were bold and stood in the midst of places where it might meant for them to get their own head chopped off. They said, "Is it right for us to listen to you, or your organizations, or you denomination of men, or shall we listen to God? See ye to it." And right straight as soon as they was let go, went right out and preached the Name of Jesus Christ again.
