“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” [Philippians 1:6]
“For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?” [Psalm 56:13]
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” [Ephesians 2:10]
“His Word cannot return until It's accomplished that which It's been spoke for. God's a waiting this afternoon on a people that'll take a hold of that Word and hold It until It's accomplished that which It was purposed for. Yes. It cannot return. It's a paradox. The whole Word of God is a paradox--cannot return, has to accomplish which It was spoken for.” [A Paradox, Phoenix AZ, 62-0128A]
“Now, I want to get, just for a moment, the infallibility of the Word (See?), to you. First, I want you to know that God is infinite. He's so perfect that He knew everything that ever would be. You believe that? He knew that before the world was ever created, that we'd be setting here tonight if He's infinite. If He isn't infinite, then He isn't God. So if He's finite, He's like we are. But infinite, there's no way to explain it. And whatever God says is perfect; He cannot improve it or take it back. It's perfect, because God is perfect, and His Words are perfect. His promises can never fail. Now, you must have that kind of faith in God when you read the Bible to believe His promises. You must remember He's perfect. His Words are perfect; they can never fail; they can never be improved; they are perfect to start with. Now, we can build a better car today than we could ten years ago. You could probably make a better airplane today; scientist can. Because we're finite, improving in the tree of knowledge. But God is perfect to begin with. When He says anything it's perfect. It can never be improved. Therefore, when God makes a promise, that promise is eternally right. It can never do nothing else but be right.”[Speak To This Mountain, San Jose CA, 59-1123]
“Notice what kind of a man He came to now: a man that was a righteous. A righteous man's not a sinless man, but a man that depends on His righteousness by confessing his wrongs to God. Notice. Then the Angel said to--to the priest, Zacharias; He said when the days of his ministration was over, he was to go home, and his wife was going to conceive and bring forth a child. And they call his name John. Now, Zacharias, yet a priest, a minister of the Word, failed to believe the Angel. Notice. When God has spoke anything, He will perform it. Amen. You believe that? He's going to have a Church. I don't know who's in It, but He's going to have a Church without spot or wrinkle. It's somebody. I don't know who it is, but It'll be there. You say, "Where will they get it?" I don't know. But It's going to be there, for God has said so, and God can't lie.” [Believest Thou This, Minneapolis MN 50-0716]
“Any man that's ever had any, made any show at all in life, has been men who has trusted God and took Him at His Word. Right. Man that doesn't take Him at His Word never amounts to a hill of beans. We've had a George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and whatevermore, but the greatest man that the world has ever had has been those who put their simple faith in God. Come down through, if I could ask any man tonight, "What do you think about God?" If I could call the prophets up... The thing was asked one time, "Whose son is this?" And the Greeks come and Jesus asked them. He said, "Whose son is he?" And one said one thing and one another. But God was in His Word, and He was in His Son, and He is in His people.” [Show Us The Father And It'll Satisfy Us, Connersville IN, 53-0610]
“Times may be hard. God has not promised a flower bed of ease, but He's promised grace sufficient for every trial that can hit you. That's right. Yes indeed, grace is sufficient. Not he's on a flower, flower bed of ease, but He's promised grace to overcome in every temptation. When a cross gets heavy, Christ promised to be with you. Yes, sir. Some glorious day, when it's all over, we'll meet Him in peace. God, grant that every one of you will receive the same thing. [Acts Of The Holy Spirit, Jeffersonville In, 54-1219e]
“Now, it's--it's not something that you just kindly push yourself to. I've noticed so much of that in my meetings, that people try to work themself up into something, to make them believe. Now, you can't do that. You're just beating the air. But faith is something that's just as calm and settled as it can be. It's taking God at His Word and having the assurance in your heart, that God is able to keep what He has said that He would do and will perform everything that He said He would do. Now, I've noticed it many times, people think they must be prayed for. That's all right. We should pray for each other. Or that their hands might be... or some evangelist's hands, must be ministered. That's all right. That'll bring contacts and so forth of faith. But real, unadulterated faith is taking God at His Word. That's the main thing.” [Have Faith In God, Chicago Il, 58-0105]
“So Moses, this young, fine strong giant, intellectual man, he set out to do a good work; but God simply, absolutely could not use it. He could not use his natural abilities. God cannot use our natural abilities. But there's one thing Moses had that I admire; he had sense enough to know that he was licked. We haven't. That's all. "We'll make a new denomination. We'll get somebody else with a healing gift or something," the Pentecostals. You see? See? We--we just don't know enough to realize that we're licked. The Pentecostal church, the Assemblies of God, the United, the rest of them seem like they haven't got the ability to know that they're licked. Hallelujah. Oh, I wish I could make this stick. They are licked. The church organization is licked, just the same as this United States is licked, trembling and fearing, and bombs hanging yonder for them; they know they've danced away and gaited their life to hell. And they're licked. The Spirit's went out of them. You'd have to comb trees to get young men to the army; they seen what happened in the other one. We're licked. The church is licked. They know that.” [Perfect Strength By Perfect Weakness, Jeffersonville IN, 61-1119]
“And what men and women need today, after you've been brought into the Kingdom of God, is a hidden life. Men and women, who will get with Christ and the curtains drop around, and you're... You don't care what the world says. You don't care what people say. You're living in there with Christ, where the manna; you're eating from the golden pot of manna every day, day and night all the time: Living on the mountain, underneath the cloudless sky. When Aaron walked in there the curtains fall behind him, he was all surrounded in a place to himself, with God alone. Hallelujah. That's the place that every borned again man and woman ought to be abiding today, in the presence of God with the rest of the world shut off from around them. Hallelujah.” [Hidden Life With Christ, Minneapolis MN, 56-0213]
“Be in prayer, be sincere, have faith and believe, and God will perform these things. But you must come reverent with spiritual faith in your heart, or God can't do nothing for you. The more humbler you get, and the less you know about the things of the world, the better off you are in the sight of God. The greatest success I ever had was amongst people who hardly could read or write. But now, I'm not trying to support my ignorance or prejudices. But I'll say: The biggest hindrance that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has ever had, has been this modern day education. That's exactly right. Even in the ministry, they've explained everything out of the Bible; the Blood, the days of the miracles, the powers, it's all explained out. And dear friends, don't you know that worldly wisdom is the thing that destroys the world? In the garden of Eden, there were two trees. One of them was the Tree of Life. When man eat from that tree, he'd lived forever. And the other was the tree of knowledge, which was the tree of death, which was the tree of sickness.” [The Pool Of Bethesda, Cleveland OH, 50-0811]
“That's what each individual of the church ought to purpose in their heart, to do their very best for the Kingdom of God. And how do you serve God? When you're serving one another. When you're taking the little end of the horn, as it was to say. And man who has ever amounted to very much in the world, has been men who's come down, and become not great men; they made themselves small in order to accomplish a purpose.” [The Mighty Conqueror, Dallas Texas, 58-0610]
“When God speaks to a man, he has faith, and he has ambition, and he has a purpose. When God speaks to a man, He gives him a purpose. When God speaks to a man, He gives him ambition. When God speaks to a man, He gives him faith to do it, to accomplish, or achieve what his purpose in life is, what God called him to do. He's called us to be in the church of God. Amen.” [What It Takes To Overcome All Unbelief Our Faith, Yakima WA 60-0729]
