“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.” [Romans 4:17-18]
“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” [Mark 9:23]
“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.[Mark 16:17-18]
“Amen! Cut every obstacle from human beings, that they might be connected like in the garden of Eden. Now, man... I was going to choke it, but I'm going to say it. Man is omnipotent. You don't believe that, but he is. A man fully surrendered to God is omnipotent. Did not He say, in Mark 11:22, "Whatsoever things you say, and don't doubt in your heart, it'll come to pass. You can have what you've said"?What happens when two omnipotents meet? When God and man comes together through omnipotence, something's got to shake. Some-... Whatsoever you'd say with that creative power of omnipotence of God, knowing that He's promised it, and He said it in His Word, it creates a power that goes out yonder and brings things to pass, things that is not, it makes, them as though they are, because two omnipotents have met. There He stands! Oh, isn't He wonderful!” [60-1204E The Patmos Vision, Jeffersonville IN]
“God, who quickened the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Do you know what? How did God make the earth, this earth that you're setting on this morning? People don't want to believe in faith. How did God make the earth? He spoke it. Amen. You see it? He spake, and the world come into existence. And this world this morning is the spoken Word of God, and He believed His Own Word. Here it is. Watch it. And if God, and you're a offspring of Him, and God is in you, He'll believe His Own Word. Though it can't be seen, felt, taste, or anything, He'll believe It. See what I mean? For God in you will believe His Own Word. Is that right? Then you don't look at things you see. You look at things that God said.” [52-0224 Believing God, Jeffersonville IN]
“The whole armor of God is by faith. We haven't got one natural thing of this world. Everything of the Christian church is a faith act. Look at the armor of God, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience. Is that right? Everything's supernatural, nothing natural. So we don't look at the things natural, because we're operating supernatural. And the only way we can base it, is faith, is on what God said was the truth, and we look at the unseen. And we call those things which are not as though they were, like Abraham did when he got his... Amen. Abraham called those things which was not, like God did, as though they were. Being a hundred years old, staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief.” [53-0608A Demonology Physical Realm, Connersville IN]
“South Africa recently, a man who had never had a pair of shoes on his feet in his life, been way back in the jungles as a--born back there years ago by missionary parents... He was born with deformed feet. When he come walking up through there, clubbing his feet along, had a shoe box under his arm. And someone said to him, "What you got in there?" He said, "A pair of shoes." Said, "What do you expect to do with them? Do they... Are they going to be your father's?" He said, "I'm going to wear them." And when the service was over, he had those shoes on, running down through that lot just as hard as he could go, praising God. What did he do? He took God at His Word. He said so much, when he was asked, he said, "I seen others coming that was crippled, was healed. And I seen those who were blind could see again, and God would not turn me down." That's the way to believe it. "God won't turn me down."” [59-0409 Mary's Belief, Los Angeles CA]
“You know, I feel religious right now; I really do. I wasn't expecting this. But to think of God... We call those things... Abraham called those things which was not, as though they were. He didn't look at the natural thing; he looked at the unseen. He looked by eyes of faith what God said. And what God said, God would keep. He knowed He could keep it. So he believed it and testified of things that he didn't see, as though they were already happened. Oh, my, you see it? I hope you do and get it. I'm not excited now; I'm just feeling good. Notice, now and if you can take the same thing and say, "God promised it, by Jesus Christ's stripes I was healed. I believe it. No matter what takes place, how I feel, how I look, I'm healed anyhow; God said so." And stay right with it. Don't move, stay right with it. Watch what it'll do.” [55-1001 Expectation, Shawano WI]
“Abraham, what if he would have stopped for reasoning, when He told him he was going to have a baby by Sarah, and she was sixty-five and him seventy-five? And when he was a hundred, and she was--and she was ninety; he, still, he--he--he confessed that God's Word was true. And he called those things, which were not, as though they were. See? He... Even hope, was there any hope? He didn't even use hope. "Well," you say, "I hope I can get all right. I hope I'll be well. I hope I get the Holy Ghost. I hope I'm a Christian. I hope I do this." You don't want that. Abraham never even looked at that. Amen. "Against hope, he still believed God's Word." Faith is beyond hope. Faith comes from back here, in the inside. Faith comes from here. [62-0311 The Greatest Battle Ever Fought, Jeffersonville IN]
“There's people setting here tonight that was in wheelchairs a night or two ago. They're up walking around now. It depends on what you look at. If you look at your affliction, you'll never go any farther. But if you look at the promise of God, you've got a right to every redemptive blessing that God promised in His Word is yours. Right. The Christian always looks at the unseen things. Every redemptive blessing of God is unseen. The... Here's the whole armor of the Christian: love, joy, faith, longsuffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience. It's all unseen forces that works in the heart of a believer. Amen. That's right. We look at things we do not see. If we're the children of Abraham, then we don't walk by sight; we walk by faith. For Abraham walked by faith and called those things which were not as though they were, because God said so.” [60-0723 Speak To The Rock And It Shall Give Forth His Water, Lakeport CA]
“When a man once catches that vision of the invisible God and know that He's always present, there's something that stabilizes that man's thinking; it stabilizes his actions, and in the time of distress and trouble, it'll still make him look upward and above the things that are happening around him, because he's looking at the Unseen, yet by promise. Now, how Abraham, not only did he see the Unseen... And the reason he believed it, was because God said it. And if we being dead in Christ, we are Abraham's seed, and if the Spirit that was in Christ dwells in us, it does the same thing. It takes every Divine promise of God that's in His Bible and calls it present tense, and rests itself upon there.” [58-1003 Looking At The Unseen, Jeffersonville IN]
